5.19.2012 - New Weekly Event For June!
As a fun way to kick-off June, we will be launching an all new event to our calendar: Mexican Train Dominos! Mexican Train will be held every Friday at 5:00pm in the Clubhouse. We invite you to come play with us, share finger foods and desserts, and have a great time! If you don't know how to play, no problem! It's very easy to learn. For more information, contact Board members Mike or Debbie.

5.18.2012 - Board Meeting Date Change
With the new Board elected, we are going to be having our next monthly Homeowner's Board meeting on Saturday, June 23 at 10:00am. This will replace Tuesday's June 12th meeting. The Board has done this in hopes of more attendance from homeowners in Chumash. If a success, meetings will now be held on Wednesdays.

5.9.2012 - The Election Results are in!
The Annual Membership Meeting was held yesterday, May 8th 2012 at 10:00am. There were two positions on the board to be filled: Member at Large (previously held by Ken Fowler), and Treasurer (previously held by Stephen Seybold). The ballots were counted and the numbers are as follows:
- Mike Snellen.............74 Votes
- Stephen Seybold.....71 Votes
- Mike Rowland...........67 Votes
- Howard Schultz........53 Votes
- Tom Nichols..............28 Votes
- Roland Harris............05 Votes

The new Board of Directors are as follows:

- Emmilie Gunsaulus....Vice President
- Stephen Seybold........Secretary
- Debbie Johnson.........Treasurer

5.1.2012 - Upcoming Events
We have some great park events coming up, so be sure to mark your calendars!

- Our Cinco De Mayo Potluck is scheduled for Friday, May 4th.
- Our large Park BBQ will be on July 7th.
- Our Ice Cream Social will be on September 8th.

For the first time ever, we are having a park Halloween part on October 27th. It will include tricks, treats, goodies, and a costume contest! Our biggest event of the year, the Holiday Potluck, is planned for December 14th. We hope to see you at all these fun events!

4.20.2012 - Annual Park "Trash to Treasures" Sale
It's time for our big neighborhood garage sale again! This garage sale is on Saturday, April 28th at 8:00AM. This will be a big sale with lots of residents selling! Don't forget to check out all the sellers in the clubhouse too! Also, a big thank you to Debbie Johnson for designing the wonderful "Trash to Treasures" sign that is in the front of the park!

12.18.2011 - 2012 Events
The park recreation committee and any other resident is invited to a meeting to discuss the events for 2012. The meeting will be help on Wednesday, January 11th at 10:00AM in the clubhouse. Coffee and breakfast goodies will be served. The agenda will be to hear ideas, decide on their inclusion in our schedule and have volunteers help with events. This is a VERY important meeting. It usually takes around 90minutes to develop the schedule and decide on what to schedule.

10.1.2011 - Board Meeting Date Change and Octoberfest Info
Hi all, some things came up with some of our board members so we're forced to push out Tuesdays board meeting. The October board meeting will now take place OCTOBER 18th, 2011 at 10am in the Clubhouse. We appreciate your understanding.

It's officially October and you know what that means... our annual October Fest dinner! Join us on October 7th at 6:00pm in the Clubhouse for a night of great food and good company. All are welcome to attend!

8.1.2011 - Ice Cream and Cake Social
It's time for a Birthday party for all Chumash Residents. Come to the clubhouse on Saturday, August 13 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, and enjoy an afternoon treat of your favorite ice cream and cake. For our residents who are on a sugar restricted diet, sugar-free ice cream will be available. And as always, coffee and herbal tea will be provided as well. A sign-up sheet is now posted in the Clubhouse and time is running out, so hurry and sign-up! It's free and all are welcome!

7.15.2011 - Web Site Update Regarding Login Information
We have received a lot of residents contacting the park regarding their login information to the Residents page. Since giving people individual usernames and passwords was a difficult process with the old site, we've decided to create a generic username and password that everyone can use to access park information.

If you received the old username "username1" and "password1", they no longer work. Nor will your login information for the old website. To get the NEW username and password, talk to Myles in the Clubhouse Office, or use or contact form on this site and we'll email you the information. Also, if you're looking for the parks "Rules and Regulations", it can now be found in the Residents section after you login. We appreciate your patience and cooperation! Please contact us with any questions.

5.10.2011 - Board of Directors Election Results
On May 10, 2011 the membership voted to fill three positions on the Board of Directors. Nearly 160 votes were received, a record turnout for a board election. The tabulated results are as follows:

4.30.2011 - Habitat for Humanity Charity Walk
On Saturday, April 30, fourteen intrepid explorers from Chumash Village braved the wilds of the Bob Jones Bike Trail in support of Habitat for Humanity. Confronted with temperatures in high 70's, hoards of bicyclists, joggers, and assorted wild canines, they pressed on; stopping only to view the interactive exhibits along the way and at the refreshment station (sponsered by Chumash). After reaching Avila Beach, many found the strength to return to the start of the hike by foot, while others chose to hop aboard the Avila trolly for the scenic drive back to the parking lot, where wine and musical entertainment awaited. It is rumored that the manager of the park may still be lost on the Bob Jones Trail since he got separated from the main group and was last seen in the vicinity of Woodstone Grill in Avila Village! 4.22.2011 - Cinco De Mayo Potluck Celebration
We invite you to our annual Cinco De Mayo Mexican Potluck Celebration! It's being held on on Friday May 6th at 5:00pm for social hour, and 6:00pm for dinner. Dinner is FREE and guests are more than welcome to attend! Food delivery to your home can be provided for $5.00. Contact Mary at (805) 541-2644 for more information on delivery. Please note that the deadline to sign up is May 4th in the Clubhouse. Please bring your favorite Mexican food dish to share and we'll see you there! 4.22.2011 - Our New Website Officially Goes Live!
Today is a great day! The new website for our park is officially launched! The new site features a new personalized design, a new park logo, a classified ads page, and much more! As of today, two pages are down including the amenities page and the about us page. They should be fixed by tomorrow along with any other kinks that need to be worked out. Visit our contact page and tell us what you think about the new site! We value our residents feedback.
